The job of a lifetime

Tomorrow morning at 10 am I have a fifth interview for the job of a lifetime.

Currently I am sitting 250 miles from home and my husband is still getting ready to leave. It is a 5 hour drive home and I know I will need at least an hour to get ready and an hour to fiddle because I am nervous. I will also need an hour to get there because it is about 36 miles from home. Lets see that leaves 2 1/2 hours of which we haven’t left yet no room for error or a flat tire. Sleep would have been nice too especially since I will be giving a mock presentation to the Vice President.

I have spent this past week reading forums, blogs, opinions, current events, training material and company data all in hopes that it will give me the edge that will land me the job. You may be asking what makes it the job of a lifetime? The answer is that I am going to be a Senior Consultant – Business Analyst IT/IP, pretty slick title huh? I will be directing the efforts of the IP consulting Managed Services initiative for the worlds largest wireless internet provider while still in my jammies and for the comfort of my home. It also carries a 6 digit income. So yes I am nervous. I am already the chosen candidate, I already have the job, that is if the VP likes me.

And if all this isn’t enough to make a person crazy, I just heard a shot and look what my husband got. You will notice it has no head, although it did about 15 minutes ago. This is a small Texas Rattle Snake courtesy of hot Central Texas.
