Getting a foot in the door just may be the hardest part

After 5 interviews which turned out to be the toughest I have ever experienced I have landed my dream job. It is for a large company that is moving forward and a leader in innovation. The position allows me to not only use my IT skills but also my communication expertise. I call myself a tech translator. There is plenty of room for growth and self development which was one of the most important reasons I wanted this so bad. It has a 6 figure salary plus benefits and to top it all off, it is work from home. It couldn’t get much better.

I have been incredibily nervous waiting to hear back. My husband talked me into going for it. He gives me a tremendous amount of confidence. I was afraid that I would not do well on the interviews which at the end were mock presentations. I know I can do anything once I get there, the hard part is getting there. They liked my answers and how I think.

So now that I am here I am going to make sure they can’t live without me.

Just a tip: Go after what you really want. Don’t settle for what you can get.
