Voices Carry

Does anyone have face to face conversations anymore? The best example I can think of is meetings at work. Meetings are a conversation on a schedule.

I teach that meetings should have more than 3 and less than 10 participants to be effective. Additional people would limit the exchange of ideas and less than three is a one-on-one.

And while I am at it here are some rules for productive meetings:

  1. Keep them short, 15 minutes if possible
  2. Get rid of the chairs
  3. Make sure all meetings have action items to take away.
  4. Build in travel time

This is just my 2 cents when it comes to conversations and changing voices

Forget face to face, you can hardly get voice to voice these days either. I will call friends, have them not answer & then text me back a few seconds later. Ugh!
